Looking for a new place to eat, a fun date night activity or a fresh candle?
Several long-awaited changes are finally ready for business as new storefronts open at Fresno’s Fashion Fair mall. One of the largest and most active shopping centers in the Central Valley, Fashion Fair has been undergoing renovations and seen an influx of new retailers and vendors this summer.
The newest updates
MongQ
MongQ, a Mongolian barbecue chain, is the newest entry at Fashion Fair’s food court.
At MongQ, people can choose ingredients they want in their meal (including proteins, vegetables, sauces, seasonings, rice and noodles) and place them in a bowl they then hand to the employees. From there, the employees cook the meal on a large, open-air circular grill.
The franchise also recently added Cajun-style seafood boils to their menu.
MongQ has seven locations, including one in Arizona. Of the six in California, only two — the one in Fresno and one in San Jose — are outside Southern California.
Escapology
Escapology, an escape room franchise with locations across the country, opens to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The newest branch is located between Barnes & Noble and Quay. It has many different games people can choose from, including a Scooby Doo-themed room that can be set up for children participants, all the way to haunted house, murder mystery and cursed church designs for adults.
Bath & Body Works
Bath & Body Works, a long-time Fashion Fair resident, recently finished moving into its new spot across the hall from it previously location.
The new space is bigger and has been under construction for the past several months. The mall’s official Facebook page posted a picture of the ribbon cutting celebrating the new space on Friday, Sept. 18.
