A fire damaged a garage and attic at a Central Fresno home early Wednesday morning, fire officials say.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A fire damaged a garage and attic at a Central Fresno home early Wednesday morning, fire officials say.
A passerby reported the fire around 3:30 a.m. at a home near Ashlan and Angus avenues.
Fire crews said the blaze started in the garage before spreading into the attic. Crews were able to quickly put out the fire.
First responders alerted the person inside the home, who got out safely with two dogs.
The garage was a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
