FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man accused of breaking into a Fresno home and attempting to sexually assault a woman was arrested early Tuesday after the woman’s grandson chased him while calling 911, according to police.

Fresno police were called to the home at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a man who had broken into the house and was attempting to sexually assault a woman.

Police said the woman began screaming, which woke up her grandson.

When the suspect saw the grandson, he ran from the home.

Police said the grandson followed the suspect while calling 911 and giving officers directions.

Officers were able to catch the man and arrest him.

The suspect was identified as James Yang.

He is being held in the Fresno County Jail on charges of burglary, assault, attempted rape and elder abuse.
