A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his younger brother in Selma.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Tony Botti announced that deputies arrested Jose Miranda Jr. on Monday. The suspect is accused of stabbing his brother, Diego Miranda, 19, to death around 11 a.m. that day at a home near Saginaw Avenue and Golden State Boulevard.

Diego Miranda was pronounced dead at the scene, and officers arrested Jose Miranda Jr., who remained at the residence.

Fresno County Jail booking records show Miranda was booked on one count of murder and is being held on $1,025,000 bail.
