Police recovered 32 guns and more than 2,000 rounds of ammo from a Long Beach man accused of illegally selling firearms, police announced Thursday, Sept. 24.
Detectives served a search warrant at Roger Alexander Triplett’s home in the 100 block of East 23rd Street, where they found the ammo along with 17 rifles and shotguns, 15 handguns and body armor, according to Long Beach police.
Police believe Triplett, 34, bought gun parts online, finished building them in his home and sold them illegally.
Triplett was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, importing a short-barreled rifle, illegally possessing any assault weapon, possessing a firearm silencer, selling large capacity magazines, selling firearms without a license, criminal storage of firearms, being a violent felon in possession of body armor, child endangerment and having a confined animal without adequate care, police said.
Details about the circumstances involving the child and animal were not immediately available.
Triplett was being held without bail.
