A Silver Alert was activated in Orange and Los Angeles counties for a 67-year-old man diagnosed with dementia last seen early Wednesday in Los Alamitos.
William Marshall Prosser was last seen around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of Katella Avenue, about two-tenths of a mile east of Los Alamitos Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Prosser was described as a 5-foot-11-inch-tall white man weighing 150 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes. He is also believed to have a beard and was last seen wearing a gray hat, dark blue jeans and brown shoes.
Prosser is possibly in the area of Artesia and Norwalk boulevards or Del Amo and Norwalk boulevards in Cerritos, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
Anyone with information about Prosser’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
