Three people were hospitalized Friday afternoon after a large fight in Fresno.

Officers responded to the altercation around 5:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of East Lewis Avenue, near Fresno Street.

When officers arrived, they found seven people injured. Three were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other injured people remained at the scene, according to Fresno Police Lt. James Rossetti.

Rossetti said a bat was used to strike several people, while another person was hit with a sharp object.

The investigation is ongoing, Rossetti said.
