In an all-Reedley matchup, The Bee’s 19th-ranked Immanuel continued its strong start to the season.

The Eagles defeated Reedley 51-6 in a nonleague game Friday night at Reedley High School.

“Good way to finish the preseason,” Immanuel coach Josh Henderson said. “Looking forward to the Kings League. We’re thankful for this opportunity.”

Immanuel improved to 5-0.

The Eagles rushed for 163 yards and passed for 205 yards. Brody Visser had four receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown, while Seth Thomas rushed 11 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

No. 6 Redwood 50, Central Valley Christian 14

The Rangers dominated from the start, with London Butler returning an interception for a touchdown in the first quarter.

Nash McElree finished with four touchdown passes.

One of Redwood’s highlights came when Josh Hilvers broke loose for a 60-yard touchdown run that gave the Rangers a 43-16 lead.

No. 8 Hanford 64, Golden West 7

The Bullpups improved to 5-0.

It marked the second time this season that Hanford’s defense has allowed just seven points.
