Sacramento police are cautioning drivers in the Land Park area about road closures Sunday morning to protect runners participating in the Urban Cow Half Marathon.

The closures will be divided into five zones, starting as early as 7:30 a.m. in some areas and lasting until 11:30 a.m. in others.

The Urban Cow 5K took place on Saturday and the half marathon begins at William Land Park.

Runners will follow a course that extends from the park to the Old Sacramento Waterfront and back along the Sacramento River.
