A 25-year-old man from the City of Brighton died by suicide Monday afternoon outside the Huron Valley Guns store in New Hudson, as confirmed by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Tyler Sweers, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, said deputies responded to the business shortly after 1 p.m. on a call from a store employee.

The man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Sweers said.
