“It’s Cranberry Time!” is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the branch in Surf City. The free program will offer a look at Pine Barrens harvesting history through Double Trouble Village, a former company town tied to cranberry production.
According to the program announcement, attendees will get a glimpse of local Pine Barrens harvesting history and witness the evolution of the cranberry bogs at Double Trouble Village. The village housed one of the state’s largest cranberry operations for most of the 20th century, according to the announcement.
