(FOX40.COM) — The Golden 1 Center is commemorating its 10-year anniversary, having officially opened in downtown Sacramento in 2016, officials announced Wednesday.

According to the center, milestones over the past decade include:

Hosting more than 14 million visitors.

Generating $19.6 billion in economic impact.

Making $16.3 million in charitable contributions.

Running community programs for more than 230,000 young people.

Becoming the world’s first LEED Platinum-certified indoor sports venue.

Becoming the world’s first professional sports facility powered entirely by solar energy.

Named the #1 NBA arena by ESPN (2024).

Home to the NBA Team of the Year (2023-2024).

Ranked as the second busiest arena in the U.S. and sixth busiest in the world by Billboard (2026).

Ensuring 90% of the food ingredients used at the arena come from farmers and producers within 150 miles.
