Mediterranean-themed restaurant chain Luna Grill has expanded to Forney with the opening of a new restaurant on Sept. 30.
The new location is at 11470 E. U.S. 80 in Forney, one of the fastest-growing areas east of Dallas-Fort Worth.
The restaurant serves Mediterranean favorites such as grilled kebabs, bowls, wraps, salads, pitas and family meals.

Founded in San Diego in 2004 by husband-and-wife Sean and Maria Pourteymour, Luna Grill has 65 restaurants across Southern California, North Texas and Arizona. The California-based chain has 10 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Forney restaurant offers dine-in, takeout, digital ordering and catering.
“Forney has its own character and a strong sense of identity, and we’re excited to be part of its growth while giving local families a new place to enjoy the food they love,” said Rich Pinnella, CEO of Luna Grill, in a statement.
One of Luna Grill’s signature practices is marinating its meats for 24 hours. The gyro meat is sliced to order, and the restaurant’s sauces are made from scratch every day.
