A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in San Jose on Thursday night, the police department said.
Around 8:37 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Alum Rock after receiving a report that a person had been shot, according to authorities.
There, police say they found a man with an injury to his head. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, officials said.
The police department noted it was unable to confirm the cause of the man’s injuries as of Thursday night.
Police say westbound Alum Rock Avenue at McCreery Avenue is currently closed to traffic while the incident is being investigated. Authorities encourage drivers to use alternate routes.
The police department said this is an active investigation.
