The San Jose Sharks home opener against the Florida Panthers on Thursday brought fans together with a street festival outside SAP Center. Players greeted cheering fans as they arrived to the Teal Carpet in lowriders from the United Lowrider Council.

S.J. Sharkie, the team’s mascot, was dressed for the occasion and delighted fans with opening season energy. In addition to the annual Teal Carpet Walk, fans were treated to a spray-paint activity from Local Color, a bucking mechanical shark to ride, lots of kids activities and plenty of food trucks.

Among the stars who walked the teal carpet were team captain Macklin Celebrini; top draft pick Ivar Stenberg; veteran Tyler Toffoli; newcomer Darnell Nurse; and opening night star Luca Cagnoni.
