Everyone I know is exasperated and frustrated with the current extensive and endless road repairs including Washington Street westbound (causing massive traffic jams), pipe installation or reinstallation taking years on Friars Road, and the numerous additions of bike lanes despite the loss of lanes for auto drivers who far outnumber bikers in road use.

It’s bad enough that there are so many road projects, but we are all uninformed on what is happening — updates on progress, explanations for delays and so on. City officials need to post critical information for the public somewhere, especially regarding Washington Street, which is a major route to hospitals for ambulances, etc. I have emailed my council member, Stephen Whitburn, but have received not a single word of reply.
