A wildfire reported in Los Angeles County on Saturday grew rapidly into the evening, threatening nearby structures and triggering a wave of evacuation orders, authorities said.

The fast-moving Bouquet Fire was reported around 3:15 p.m. in the Angeles National Forest, according to Cal Fire. The blaze spanned 843 acres and was 0% contained as of about 6 p.m., fire authorities said.

Cal Fire said the wildfire, located near Bouquet Canyon and Quarry roads, was “burning at a rapid rate of spread” and threatening nearby structures and power lines.

Evacuation orders were issued shortly after 4 p.m. for zones LAC-E018, LAC-E030 and LAC-E031. Fire authorities said residents in zones under evacuation warning should be prepared to leave: LAC-E016, LAC-E017, LAC-E019, LAC-E020, LAC-E021, LAC-E029, LAC-E030-A.

Fire authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze. The Bouquet Fire falls under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Forest Service.
