The fire was reported at 8:40 p.m. in the 5500 block of Florin Road, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said in a news release.
Crews found the store “well involved” in fire, the agency said. Fire crews quickly deployed hoses and made a preliminary search to confirm no one was inside.
According to the news release, a second alarm was called for more firefighters and equipment because of the size of the fire and threat to other businesses.
There are no reports of injuries.
Firefighters from the district and the Sacramento Fire Department fought the blaze. Traffic on Florin Road was restricted for a time.
An investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
