An ambulance and SUV collided in northeast Fresno Sunday night

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An ambulance and an SUV crashed Sunday night in northeast Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police say officers responded to Herndon and Willow avenues around 8 p.m.

According to Fresno Police Lieutenant James Rossetti, the EMS unit was traveling westbound on Herndon Avenue when they went through the intersection and collided with another vehicle that was going southbound on Willow Avenue.

Lt. Rossetti says no one in the ambulance reported injuries. One of the occupants in the SUV is suffering from bruising.

Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
