California ( FOX26) — This is a snapshot of breast cancer rates in Fresno County, according to Healthy Fresno County Data from the Fresno County Department of Public Health.

The report shows that between 2007 – 2022, Fresno County rates of breast cancer have always been below the state average.

115 cases per 100-thousand woman in Fresno County.

125 per 100-thousand in the state.

Here is a breakdown of who’s most at risk based on race.

Rates are highest for American Indian and African American women in Fresno County, followed by Caucasian.

The lowest numbers are for our Asian / Pacific Islander and Hispanic communities.

According to the data, there are no high-rate pockets of breast cancer in Fresno County.
