FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A suspect is in custody in connection to a deadly shooting in Fresno’s Tower District in September.

Authorities took 19-year-old Jeremiah Listman into custody Monday morning.

The shooting happened on September 26 around 2:45 am at the corner of Olive and Linden Avenue.

Police Chief Mindy Casto said Listman and a group of people approached 28-year-old Tyrone Miles.

An argument broke out, and Miles was shot once. He was declared dead at the scene.

A search warrant was executed in the area of Fruit and Olive on Monday in connection to the shooting. The SWAT team had to use a flash bang grenade and break the door to get inside, when Jeremiah was ultimately taken into custody.

Authorities say Listman has a criminal history, including being a suspect in a stabbing near Art Hop in April. He was out on bond in that case.

Listman is now in custody in the Fresno County Jail on a murder charge for September’s incident.
