The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau on Tuesday identified two men killed in freeway traffic collisions Friday in Berkeley and Hayward.

A man who suffered fatal injuries about 3:30 p.m. Friday when his pickup truck collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer on westbound Interstate 80 at Ashby Avenue was identified as Bradley Marshall, 39, of Danville.

The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

A motorcyclist who suffered fatal injuries about 12:16 p.m. Friday on state Highway 92 in Hayward was identified as Herman Velez, 61, of Redwood City.

Velez was splitting lanes on the eastbound Highway 92 transition to Interstate 880 when he collied with a box truck and was ejected onto the roadway, the CHP said. He died later at a hospital.

The truck driver was not injured and the collision remains under investigation by the CHP.
