BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Finding a sense of purpose may do more than help keep you motivated — it could also be connected to a longer life.
A new analysis of nearly 500,000 people found those with a greater sense of purpose had about a 30% lower risk of earlier death. But finding your “why” doesn’t necessarily mean discovering one big calling– purpose can also come from relationships, personal goals and the things that matter most in everyday life.
Mindset expert Alvaro Núñez joins ARC Bakersfield to explain what it means to find your “why,” how to discover your purpose when you feel stuck and ways to turn it into everyday motivation.
