OAKLAND — A former Roseville resident has settled his pimping case by pleading no contest to a gun charge, and prosecutors dismissed the remaining counts through a plea deal, court records show.
For his no contest plea, Christopher Anderson, 40, will serve a 16-month house arrest sentence that can be reduced by half with good behavior, court records show. Since being charged last year, he moved out of state, but lived in Roseville at the time of the alleged crime.
Last year, the Alameda County District Attorney charged Anderson with assaulting and robbing a woman he was pimping. The alleged assault occurred inside the America’s Best Value Inn on East 12th Street.
The woman freely admitted to having been a sex worker before the two met but claimed Anderson robbed her of a $200 battery charger during a disagreement. The robbery and assault charges were also dismissed through the deal.
