San Francisco investigators say the woman charged in a deadly shooting is linked to a notorious retail theft ring.

Shakia Vanderbilt, 32, is accused of killing 47-year-old Ulysses Davis on Saturday, according to police. Davis was a security guard at the Warfield Theater.

Investigators have not said what led up to the shooting on Market Street, but police said Vanderbilt was arrested on Tuesday and is now charged with several crimes, including homicide.

Additionally, Authorities say Vanderbilt is linked to a shoplifting ring that allegedly stole over $1 million in merchandise across California in the 2010s.

Vanderbilt will be arraigned Thursday.
