BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Kern County nonprofit leader is taking on a unique 24-hour challenge to bring attention to an issue affecting people throughout the community.
Carlos Baldivinos, executive director of The Mission at Kern County, plans to spend an entire day sitting on a bench to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those his organization serves and encourage community involvement.
Baldivinos joins ARC Bakersfield to explain what inspired the challenge, what he hopes people will learn from the experience and how the community can support The Mission at Kern County and its ongoing efforts to help those in need.
