If the film Hamnet left you wanting to spend a little more time in Shakespeare’s world, this fall offers the perfect opportunity to go beyond the screen and discover the words that made him endure for more than 400 years.
On Sunday, beginning October 11, at the Coronado Public Library, Shakespeare teacher, scholar, and dramaturge Dr. Gideon Rappaport will lead a five-week course designed to make Hamlet more vivid and enjoyable, whether you have studied his works for years or are looking to learn how to enjoy them more. Attendees will read parts aloud while pausing for guided explication and discussion.
The sessions will last up to two hours, starting at 2:00 p.m. on successive Sundays from October 11 through November 8. Space is limited, and registration is highly encouraged at cplevents.org. Register for one class or all five!
