Ben Simmons set for Kings preseason debut
Given this latest update, Ben Simmons would miss the Sacramento Kings’ upcoming Thursday game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
He already skipped both teams’ preseason opener last Monday in Sacramento.
Many around the league anticipate how Simmons will perform again after not playing for the entire 2025-26 season.
Simmons declined to play last year to recover from injuries and regain his well-being. The last time he suited up in an NBA game was back in 2024-25, splitting his stint between the Brooklyn Nets and the LA Clippers.
The Australian star joined the Kings last offseason via a one-year, $3.5 million deal. He is expected to play a key role for Sacramento as a floor general and key veteran around franchise guard Darius Acuff Jr.
