Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver and truck allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash in West Long Beach that killed a 68-year-old man last month.
Long Beach police say the driver of a tractor-trailer rig was exiting the parking lot of a restaurant toward Pacific Coast Highway near Canal Avenue around 11:03 p.m. on Sept. 4 when he hit a bicyclist heading westbound.
The driver of the truck continued eastbound and did not stop after the crash, police said.
The bicyclist, identified as Kevin Moran, 68, of Long Beach, died of his injuries at a local hospital the day after the crash, according to authorities.
