A rare Tropical Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for all of San Diego County,
Forecasters say Tropical Storm Rachel will pass close by on Sunday. The exact track of the system will determine the extent of impacts. At the very least, according to the National Weather Service widespread moderate rainfall and beach impacts (high surf and coastal flooding) are expected with a potential for strong winds as well.
