HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team is still perfect in the Mountain West.
The ‘Bows swept San Jose State Friday night in Manoa, staying atop the standings in the conference.
UH without star hitter Tali Hakas due to a late injury, but it didn’t slow them down.
“We got 15 players, all of them are working hard for every opportunity when they get out there and they’re prepared to go out there and execute,” Head coach Joshua Walker said following the match. “So we’re not just putting people out there hoping things are going to go well, we expect them to play well and that’s what we’ve been training for.”
Cha’lei Reid had a match-high 13 kills while Adrianna Arquette dished out 36 assists.
UH and the Spartans are set for another match Saturday night.
Pregame coverage begins on K5 at 6:30 p.m. Hawaii time.
