FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A former Fresno County judge indicted by a federal grand jury in Fresno on sexual assault and obstruction charges has now filed a motion to dismiss his case.
Back in August, a five-count federal indictment was returned against former Superior Court Judge Adolfo Corona.
The 66-year-old is charged with sexually assaulting two court employees, making false statements to cover up his alleged crimes, and obstructing the investigation.
Action News first told you of this investigation last September and was in the courtroom when Corona pleaded not guilty to the county charges.
Corona now also denies the federal indictment.
If convicted, he faces 40 years in prison for the sexual assault and 20 years for each obstruction charge.
