Re “‘Stuck in the mud’: $17M spent, one report delivered” (Oct. 4): So, our rudderless incompetent elected leaders have finally noticed that after spending $17 million and getting just one report in five years from their team studying county government efficiency does not represent good value to taxpayers.
To make matters worse, the one report was based on a small, outdated program. Of course, we all know the obvious solution to fix this. More taxes!
With elections coming up, I’m sure California taxpayers will agree that approving more taxpayer money for our elected leaders will fix the problem, because that’s what they saw on a TV commercial. And we wonder why everything is so darn expensive in this state.
