The GoldenSky Country Music Festival is set to return to Sacramento’s Discovery Park on Oct. 9 and 10 in 2027.

An SMS subscriber presale for GoldenSky kicks off on Friday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. An email subscriber presale begins at 11 a.m. and a public on-sale will kick off at 12 p.m.
Two-day weekend passes will be available starting at $1 down.
Organizers previously announced at Visit Sacramento’s State of Tourism event that the country music festival would return to Sacramento in 2027, 2028, and 2029 after a two-year pause.
GoldenSky, which previously took place in Sacramento for three years, serves as a companion weekend to the popular Aftershock festival. Aftershock’s 2027 dates have not yet been announced.
In previous years, GoldenSky featured major country music stars, including Tim McGraw, Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, and Megan Moroney.
In February 2025, organizers cited a reason for putting off that year’s festival as an oversaturation of country music festivals, creating a challenge in attracting larger country names. Danny Wimmer Presents said that February they would take an additional year to ensure the festival “returns at the right time.”
The new GoldenSky event, similar to Aftershock, will offer official RV and car-plus-tent camping at Cal Expo.
The promoter said they will reimagine a River City Dance Hall and Overtime Sports Bar for the event. The dance hall will feature lessons on two-stepping and line dancing.
