SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A nearly 60-year-old tradition is continuing at Sacramento State with the annual ski swap, which provides new gear for students and the community while raising money for Sacramento State’s Snow Club.
The swap takes place on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Sac State’s University Union Ballroom. Early-bird admission is at 9 a.m. and costs $20. General admission is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $10 for adults and $5 for teens, Sac State students or seniors.
People are encouraged to sell their old ski and snowboard equipment at the swap, with a 10% consignment fee. Acceptable items include skis, ski boots, snowboards and snowboard boots, along with antiques.
Clothing and loose items aren’t for sale at the swap.
KCRA 3’s Brian Hickey spoke with Miles Calandro and Connor Johnson, members of the club. Watch the interview above.
