Move Moore Challenge

Cupertino Mayor Kitty Moore’s Move Moore Challenge wrapped up on Oct. 10 at Blackberry Farm. Over 31 days, 181 participants ages 7-86 collectively logged nearly 100,000 minutes of activity and almost 6,000 miles by walking, cycling, hiking and other forms of exercise.

The closing celebration recognized participants’ achievements and highlighted the initiative’s success in promoting active, healthy lifestyles and friendly competition.

The next Mayor’s Initiative event, “Taiso with the Mayor,” is set for Nov. 14. Taiso is a 100-year-old Japanese tradition of short, rhythmic calisthenics and stretching performed to piano music. For more information, visit cupertino.gov/mayorinitiative.
