California Gov. Gavin Newsom is scheduled to make campaign stops ahead of the election to support Democratic candidates in New Hampshire and California, focusing on both state and congressional races.
Newsom is scheduled to visit Nashua, Exeter, Concord, and Manchester in New Hampshire this upcoming Saturday.
Newsom’s team said he has raised more than $526,000 for New Hampshire Democrats so far this election cycle. This is part of the $6.5 million his team said he has raised for Democrats overall through his small-dollar email list.
When he returns to California, Newsom is expected to hold several campaign events across the state. Newson’s team said these events will focus on helping Democrats secure congressional district seats that were redrawn under maps approved by voters through Proposition 50.
The governor also recently released his position on various statewide propositions. Newsom also became an honorary co-chair of the No on Prop 39 campaign, signaling he’ll play a more active role against the proposed voter ID measure.
