Fresno City College’s ever-popular Fall Carnival returns on Friday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the University Mall. For more than 30 years, this cherished tradition has offered a safe, festive and family-friendly night for students, families and community members, with over 8,000 families in attendance.
Kids of all ages can enjoy free candy, games, live performers, photo booths, food trucks, interactive science demonstrations, a haunted house, and a pumpkin patch. This year’s carnival will feature more prizes with an expanded snack selection. Visitors can also step off the midway and into the Land of Oz. The FCC Library will host a Wizard of Oz walk-through, where families can follow the yellow brick road and explore the library in a whole new way.
Guests can show off their creativity in two contests. No advance sign-up is required for the costume contest. To enter the pumpkin decorating contest, participants must fill out an entry form at the Student Activities Office by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. Only decorated pumpkins will be accepted, and carved pumpkins are not allowed.
The Fall Carnival is sponsored by the Student Activities Office and the Student Interclub Council. Admission is free.
