An episode of dangerous fire weather is expected later this week across the greater Los Angeles area. Red flag warnings are in effect, with strong offshore winds likely and relative humidity levels dropping to 8 percent to 20 percent.
“If ignition occurs, conditions are favorable for extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and property,” the National Weather Service warned.
