FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Dutch Bros celebrated 20 years in Fresno with a community event, and they donated $20,000 to nonprofit organizations on Thursday.
“Twenty years is a milestone, but the part that means the most to us is who we’ve shared it with,” said Genesis Wilson, COO and Co-Owner, Dutch Bros Coffee Fresno. “Fresno has supported us, embraced us, and given us so much to be thankful for.”

You might have noticed a giant Dutch Bros coffee cup towering above the shop while driving in the area of Ashlan and Willow avenues on Thursday. This was part of the setup for an event at the very first Dutch Bros shop in Fresno at 4982 E. Ashlan Ave.
Genesis and Brent Wilson brought the coffee franchise to Fresno in 2006. There are more than 10 locations now in Fresno, but the Ashlan spot was the first. Team and community members joined the owners at the spot that started it all to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Organizers say that the event honored the customers, employees, and everyone who has supported the franchise over the years. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California, Marjaree Mason Center, Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation, and the Amendola Family Cupboard at Fresno State were at the event.

These four nonprofit organizations received $5,000 donations each, totaling $20,000 from Dutch Bros. The celebration also had a City of Fresno proclamation that declared Oct.15 as “Dutch Bros Coffee Fresno Day.”
