The Museum of History and Culture La Jolla concluded its La Jolla Modernism & Architecture Week on Oct. 11 with its annual Jewel Awards.
This year’s Jewel Awards were presented Oct. 11 at the La Valencia Hotel, doling out awards to the people and businesses that “preserve and enrich La Jolla’s distinctive architectural and cultural heritage,” according to the organization.
Each winner is given a tray with a printed image of the honoree’s property or project.
Additionally, local architect Ione Stiegler received the preservation champion award for her years of preservation efforts.
