At The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, a Canadian artist known as MICO continued his “Running From a Feeling Tour” by playing to a sold out crowd with his opener, Will Linley on Tuesday night, Oct. 15.

Will Linley is a young artist from Cape Town, South Africa who released his first song “miss me (when you’re gone)” in 2021.

Before Linley’s appearance on MICO’s tour, he had one of his songs featured in the hit Amazon Prime show “Off Campus.” His song “Holding the Line” was played in the background of the sixth episode when two of the characters, Allie and Dean, travel to New York together.

Throughout the concert Linley played many of his own singles, EPs and songs from his album “Don’t Cry Because It’s Over.”

Linley would interact with the crowd by telling jokes and talking with them between songs. One of the guests was dressed as Spiderman, and he talked with them about their costume. He shared laughter throughout the crowd and even convinced the crowd to “bark” for MICO when he came out on stage.

Linley closed out his set by telling the crowd that he will be headlining his first tour in the United States in the spring of 2027 before playing his final song “Last Call.”

Around 25 minutes later, MICO started his set and the crowd erupted in cheers. The crowd followed Linley’s request and “barked” as MICO came out on the stage. He then made a joke with the crowd about how Linley pulled the same trick at their concert in Portland.

MICO is a pop rock artist from Toronto, Canada. He is performing in his third headlining tour this year from October to March.

MICO has released over 100 songs on his road to fame and recently signed with Columbia Records this past year.

Aside from his personal music, he is also known for his appearance as Telemachus in Jorege Rivera-Herrans’s hit, “EPIC: The Musical.”

Throughout the concert MICO not only sang many of the songs from his recent album, “When the lights turn on,” but from his previous album, “Internet hometown hero.”

Alongside songs from his two albums, he also sang a couple of his singles, EPs and new songs from the deluxe edition of “When the lights turn on” that was released on Oct. 16.

While performing MICO encouraged his fans to cheer, clap, sing along and jump. He constantly kept his crowd engaged by talking with them, bringing guests on stage and celebrating a crew member’s birthday.

In the middle of his performance, MICO brought two fans on stage for a “blind date” as a part of his “‘Learning to love’ (On Stage)” segment where they sat at a table next to MICO as he played the piano.

To be selected to go on stage, both fans filled out a form prior to the concert that included facts about them and what concert they would attend. Then they could be selected and paired with another fan at the same concert where they would join MICO on stage and have a “blind date.”

After talking with these fans and sharing laughter, MICO brought one of his tour carpenters, Emilio, on stage to celebrate his birthday. Emilio, who sets up the stage every night, had turned 22 and MICO led the room in singing “Happy Birthday” before giving Emilio a chance to hit a Spiderman piñata.

After celebrating with the room, MICO continued performing and brought back his upbeat and quick-paced music encouraging fans to continue singing along and jump.

MICO finished up the night by going around the upper level of the venue to see fans before coming back down to crowd surf. After returning back to the stage he then sang his last couple of songs before closing out the night with “lie lie lie.”

After his performance at The Regency Ballroom, MICO continued his tour at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. He sold out his Oct. 15 show and has one planned for tonight, Oct. 16.

The Northern American leg of his “Running From a Feeling Tour” will continue through the rest of October to early November before he goes to perform internationally for the rest of November and early 2027 in his “IN:BETWEEN TOUR.”
