I am writing to express my strong support for Rebecca King for City Council.
Rebecca and I met several years ago volunteering at the Sand Dollar Too together, and became good friends as our children progressed through CHS and beyond. I’m so proud that she is running to represent our city in public office and am doubly impressed with the depth of thought she brings to the issues facing our city.
With the same discipline she applied in studying for and passing the CA bar last summer, Rebecca does her homework. If you have read her written responses to published prompts or attended any candidate panels, you know she has taken the time to research issues, understand policy, and look beyond generic campaign concerns to consider practical solutions. She doesn’t simply identify problems—she offers thoughtful suggestions about how we can address them.
I also appreciate Rebecca’s willingness to work collaboratively beyond our city’s boundaries. She understands that many of the challenges facing our communities do not stop at a city line. Her desire to work with representatives down the Strand and across the bridge to join forces and strengthen our collective voice demonstrates the kind of forward-thinking leadership I believe we need.
Rebecca brings preparation, common sense, and a genuine commitment to service. I believe she will be a smart and hard-working representative for all of Coronado, and I am proud to endorse her.
