Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson will join the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Long Beach/South Bay chapter to talk about the future of the city’s housing, infrastructure and the 2028 Olympics.

This free event “Building together: A conversation with Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson” will feature a fireside-style conversation between the city’s mayor and AIA’s local architect Lance Collins focusing on important issues shaping the city today.

The focus includes:

Infrastructure and growth: Upcoming projects and investments that will reshape neighborhoods and the city’s skyline
Housing and affordability: policies and partnerships that make the city a more accessible and equitable place to live
Olympic legacy: How the 2028 Summer Olympic Games will impact the city and create lasting benefits for residents
Collaboration with architects and planners: exploring how design professionals and civic leaders can work hand-in-hand to build a resilient and inclusive future

Building together: A conversation with Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson will take place on Oct. 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Vision Theatre.
