A house fire that broke out in San Francisco’s Ingleside Terraces neighborhood sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries from smoke inhalation, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The fire erupted around 5:50 a.m. at 50 Corona St. after a resident reported a cell phone that was charging had malfunctioned and “popped,” leading to an instant fire, Lt. Ken Smith said. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames and smoke billowing from the rear of the house. Within ten minutes, firefighters contained the blaze.
The two injured individuals were hospitalized with minor injuries from smoke inhalation. Authorities asked the public to avoid Corona Street as crews finished clearing the scene.
