For the first time this season, the 49ers will play under the lights when they take on the Washington Commanders on Monday at Levi’s Stadium (5:15, ESPN).

The season opener against the Los Angeles Rams was played in the evening slot on Sept. 10, but the venue was the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where it was 10:35 a.m. at kickoff. Because that game was on Netflix rather than terrestrial TV, this will also be San Francisco’s first national TV game.

The Niners are coming off a big win in a back-and-forth game against the Seahawks in Seattle, which gave San Francisco a 6-0 start to the season.

Nick Bosa will miss a fourth straight game with a calf strain after he was ruled out Saturday by coach Kyle Shanahan. Mike Evans, however, will be a game-time decision as he manages a rib injury, having played through discomfort to help lead that win over the Seahawks. Fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel is out with a hamstring injury, but fullback Kyle Juszczyk is expected to return after hyperextending his knee two weeks ago.

Wide receiver Christian Kirk is expected to make his season debut after signing with the 49ers last offseason. A calf injury suffered on the first day of training camp kept him out the first six weeks.
