The Tigers (3-8-3, 2-1-1 WCC) enter the week in fourth place in the conference standings with seven points, tied with third-place Denver (3-7-2, 2-1-1 WCC). Portland leads the league with 12 points, followed by San Diego with eight. The top four teams will qualify for the inaugural WCC Men’s Soccer Tournament, scheduled for Nov. 11-14.

With four conference matches remaining, Pacific has an opportunity to strengthen its postseason position against two opponents with significant implications in the standings.

Xavier Cisneros continues to headline the Tigers’ offense, leading the team with six goals, two assists and 14 points. The forward has been particularly effective in conference play, recording three goals and an assist through four WCC contests.

The native of Turlock, California has demonstrated his finishing ability against conference opponents, scoring twice in Pacific’s 3-3 draw against Seattle U before finding the back of the net in a 2-1 victory over Santa Clara. His three conference goals have come on just ten shots, showcasing his efficiency in attacking opportunities.

Massimo Erfani has also emerged as a reliable offensive weapon for Pacific, ranking third on the team with three goals and six points. Erfani has scored twice in conference play, including goals in consecutive victories over Santa Clara and Saint Mary’s. Erfani has provided timely finishes throughout the season, leading the Tigers with two game-winning goals.

In goal, Alejandro Caracheo Luna has anchored Pacific’s defensive efforts, totaling 39 saves in eight starts with a .684 save percentage and 2.25 goals-against average. The goalkeeper has recorded 20 saves through four WCC appearances, maintaining a .714 save percentage against conference competition.

Pacific opens the week against San Francisco (4-5-4, 0-1-3 WCC), which sits seventh in the standings with three points. The Dons remain in search of their first conference victory after earning consecutive draws against Saint Mary’s, Santa Clara and San Diego before falling 2-1 at Denver.

Saturday’s match up features a Denver squad that has enjoyed early success in its inaugural WCC campaign. The Pioneers opened conference play with a scoreless draw at San Diego before collecting consecutive 2-1 victories over LMU and San Francisco. Denver most recently suffered a narrow 3-2 setback against conference-leading Portland.

Pacific seeks its first victory over the Dons since 2022 where the Tigers notched a 2-0 clean sheet performance on the Hilltop. USF has won three straight contests since then, including a 3-2 setback last year in Stockton.

The Tigers will then trek for the first time to the Mile High City and face off against the Pioneers, who have won the only meeting in program history, which came in a 2-1 result at home in 2019. This marks the first time Pacific will face Denver as a WCC opponent in soccer.

Wednesday’s match at San Francisco will be streamed live on ESPN+ at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s contest at Denver will be available on ESPN+ at 2 p.m. PT.
