A small fire at the Berkeley police station has forced officers to evacuate.
Berkeley police said the fire was inside of the communications building, prompting its evacuation. Authorities added the fire was in another portion of the building, and not exactly where “communication is established” since it’s a shared building.
Calls were being transferred to Alameda County dispatch, but police said officers are still responding to emergencies.
