ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. —
A pedestrian is dead after they were struck by a vehicle in Sacramento County on Thursday night, according to officials.
Sacramento Metro Fire said the crash happened on Eastern and Marconi avenues in the Arden-Arcade area. The was reported to have happened at 6:49 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pedestrian was identified as a woman in her 60s.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with with officers.
The crash remains under investigation.
