The trendy China-based store selling toys, cosmetics, home goods and plush Hello Kitty dolls is opening its newest location in the Fresno area.
The Clovis store opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Clovis Crossing shopping center near Clovis and Herndon avenues. The store is between Ulta and Old Navy, in the former Kirkland’s store.
Miniso stores have gained a following for their whimsical, kitschy products, including snacks, stationery, collectable figurines and blind boxes — a retail trend that consists of a sealed box with a mystery toy inside.
The Clovis Crossing location is part of the brand’s expansion, adding to 11 locations across the San Joaquin Valley. Miniso was founded in China in 2013 and has expanded across the United States to over 330 locations nationwide.
The brand has flooded the area with new stores, including two each in Fresno, Madera and Hanford, and one in Visalia and Delano.
The first 50 customers get 20% off their purchase, and customers get 10% throughout the weekend.
